Tiller and extension finished

Tiller extension is now painted and the Ronstan universal joint attached. You might remember that the extension was made from an old carbon fibre fishing rod. These polyurethane fittings are very strong and quite inexpensive compared with the stainless steel ones and have the added advantage of allowing movement in all directions and the extension can be quickly removed if required. It even comes with a piece of shrink wrap so that once the extension is secured with a bolt it can be sealed up for a neat finish.
